Archaeological excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum<\/h1><\/div>
<\/span><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]The archaeological excavations of Pompeii undoubtedly represent the most famous site in the world at least as far as Roman art and culture are concerned. A location with an extraordinary charm that unfortunately was caused by the terrible eruption of Vesuvius that occurred in the year 79 after Christ. A particularly violent eruption that not only destroyed entire towns such as in the case of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabia, but also significantly changed the morphology of the volcano itself.<\/p>\n

It has been calculated that every year more than 3 million visitors choose the archaeological sites of Pompeii to have direct contact with the history and traditions of Rome. The site is spread over an area of \u200b\u200b440000 square meters and allows visitors to enjoy incredible finds starting from the magnificent villas.<\/p>\n

Inside the ancient Roman villas found in Pompeii, you can admire extraordinary mosaics such as the one from Cicero’s villa or perhaps the mosaic from Plato’s academy from the Villa of Titus Simius Stephanus.[\/vc_column_text]
